Wordless Wednesday - "The Little Black Dress"

1998 Evening Dress by
Franco Moschino(1950-94) - Milan
After working as an illustrator, Franco Moschino started a clothing business in 1983. His irreverent designs have often ridiculedthe seriousness of the fashion industry. Constructed from a petticoat and 20 bras, this example is a cheeky take on the little black dress. Cotton and polyester

NOTE: I wonder if he just didn't like women.

  1. I liked it at first glance until I realized it was made of bras. Hmmmm the shape is nice.

  2. OMG, this is crazy! I've never seen anything like this before. Well, I have seen one with balloons as well as one made of trash bags so maybe this means I've seen it all. *LOL*

    Nice shot!

  4. Tee hee. I don't think this means he has a problem with women...but I'm sure he IS poking fun at fashion. ;-)

  7. That is a weird-looking dress! Has anyone ever worn it?

  8. I don't know if anyone has ever had the nerve to wear it. Seems it would have hit all the tabloids if they had. This one was in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
