They look like the work of Dale Chihuly. He did something very similar at the New York Botanical garden. He also has some amazing sculptures at the Atlantis Hotel and casino in Nassau and in the lobby ceiling of the Bellagio in Vegas.
I put a link to his website in my earlier comment (that's why the name is in blue instead of black like the rest of the text). The website has a lot of biographical information, pictures of his work, etc.
They are pretty but what are they? Floating carelessly in the water?

These were glass balls floating in a pond at the Botanical Garden in St. Louis. I forget the name of the artist.

ReplyDeleteDale has stuff all over the place. We went to one of his exhibits out here after D#2 was exposed to his work while at Art College in the Bay Area.
