  5. Oh I hope your visitors take the time to enlarge this for the full effect! The composition is perfect. You really have to look closely to determine where the structure ends and the reflection begins. Amazing shot!

    I've been to Kyoto and remember the Kinkakuji Golden Pavilion Temple best. I lived in Tokyo for close to 6 months years and years ago but all the memories I treasure to this day. Always a place I want to visit again! Thank you for the beautiful photo...

  16. Years ago I designed a residence for a US official in Kyoto Japan. It was designed around the module of an ancient tatami mat. As a result, the office I was working with in DC received a nice letter from the Japanese Architect that supervised the construction stating how surprised that as American was so attuned with the Japanese residential construction and design. I still have a bunch of research books from that endeavor.

    I was able to see the letter as the boss kept it, as if he had anything to do with it.
